Two thousand alumni, friends and members of U of M community attended the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) 100th Anniversary Gala Finale and Annual Celebration Thursday, May 6. The event included dinner on Northrop Mall followed by a program at Northrop Memorial Auditorium featuring Yanni Chryssomallis, internationally acclaimed contemporary instrumental composer and 1976 U of M graduate. From a silent auction to a rousing new musical cheer, the alumni association's 100th year has been filled with meaningful events and initiatives.

Leaving a Legacy
One of the alumni association's goals during its centennial year has been to leave a legacy of scholarship, pride and spirit. Here are a few of the ways the alumni association has accomplished this goal.
