Repairing Broken Hearts In what could be one of the most significant findings in recent memory, researchers at the U's Cardiovascular Repair Center report being able to rebuild functioning heart muscle on an empty scaffolding. Family Dinner, Healthy Kids In yet another finding that the family that eats together has happier, healthier kids, School of Public Health researchers  | | /legislative_Briefing | have concluded that girls who eat at least five meals a week with their families have far lower rates of eating disorders.

Sports: One Hot Hockey Team While the Gopher men's hockey team is suffering an uncharacteristically tough season, the Gopher women's  | | Goalie Kim Hanlon | pucksters ran their unbeaten streak to 11 in early January. The Gopher women, now ranked fourth in the nation, return to WCHA play this weekend at North Dakota. They then host Minnesota State, Mankato, on January 25-26 at Ridder Arena. The Gophers, looking to make their sixth appearance in the seven years of NCAA Tournament history, have a chance for a high seed if they can close the season strong. They face the three teams just behind them in WCHA standing to end the regular season, with five of the games at home: Ohio State, February 8-9; St.Cloud State, February 15-16 (home-and-home series); and against defending national champion Wisconsin February 23-24.
