Amalfi Coast This is the Divine Coast - composed of a handful of villages that will be the backdrop of your journey. You will travel a fabled, serpentine ribbon of road from destination to destination. Along the way, you will take in the breathtaking views that inspired countless artists, gain historical perspectives and see exactly why the Divine Coast has drawn royalty and celebrities for decades.
Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from your gateway city for Naples, Italy.
Day 2: Arrive in Naples, and transfer to the coastal town of Amalfi and the Grand Hotel Excelsior. Then enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Day 3: Take a scenic ride to charming Ravello and visit the exquisite Villa Rufolo, the place of Richard Wagner's inspiration. Then, visit Amalfi for a leisurely stroll, followed by a private boat ride to Positano.
Day 4: Visit Sorrento, where you will enjoy a tour of the city followed by free time for shopping, independent exploration and lunch at your leisure.
Day 5: Tour the archeological site of Pompeii and see the well-preserved frescos. Then visit Herculaneum.
Day 6: Enjoy a private boat ride to see the White Grotto and Faraglioni rock formation. Then visit Anacapri for lunch and leisure time.
Day 7: Visit a local farm where mozzarella cheese is produced from the milk of buffalo. Continue to Paestum, the site of the most beautiful and well-preserved examples of Greek architecture outside of Greece. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, and visit the World War II landing beach of Salerno.
Day 8: The day is yours to enjoy and pursue individual interests.
Day 9: Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the U.S.
