Asian Explorations Experience the legendary lands of Eastern Asia where the past comes to life, where ancient temples mingle with modern high-rises. Daily Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from your gateway city for Beijing, China.
Day 2: Arrive in Beijing and transfer to the ship.
Day 3: Cruise the Yellow Sea.
Day 4: Spend the day in Seoul (Ichon), South Korea, where you will visit the 14th century palace and stone pagoda, the National Museum and the bustling antique district.
Day 5: Cruise the Yellow Sea.
Day 6-7: Experience the sites and culture of Shanghai, China and visit the magnificent art museum and the renowned 16th century Yu Yuan Garden.
Day 8: Cruise the East China Sea.
Day 9: Explore Hiroshima, Japan where you will visit the skeletal A Bomb Dome, the Memorial Peace Park and Museum and the statue to the children who died. You can also stroll through the Hiroshima Gardens, visit the rebuilt Hiroshima Castle or journey to the exquisite sacred island of Miyajima.
Day 10-11: Spend some time exploring Kyoto, Japan, and visit the breathtaking temples and shrines of Japan's old imperial capital Kyoto or visit ancient Nara, the cradle of Japanese arts, literature and crafts.
Day 12: Cruise the Philippine Sea.
Day 13: Experience the beautiful island of Okinawa, Japan and visit the imposing Shuri Castle, home of the Ryukyu royal family for 400 years.
Day 14-15: See the sites of Taipei, Taiwan where you will visit the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial, the fabulous Palace Museum's vast collection of Chinese art and the lovely Lungshan Temple.
Day 16: Cruise the Taiwan Strait.
Day 17: Disembark the ship in Hong Kong, China and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the U.S.
