Alumni association members save money on transitions workshops and individual consultations designed to help you determine what's next for you, how to get there, and how you can maintain meaningful lifework. Alumni Association members save 20% on career planning workshops. Materials fees are additional and vary per workshop. Career and lifework planning services also offer free return to learning sessions for those considering going back to school. Compleat Scholar
Explore the world of ideas through non-credit short courses! University faculty and community experts offer non-credit courses in visual arts, writing, music, photography, social sciences and humanities, and natural and physical sciences, as well as gardening, computer graphics and technology, career and academic skills, consumer issues and health, and graduate school test preparation.

Split Rock Arts Program
Nurture your creativity at a discount!  Alumni Association members receive a $50 discount on weeklong residential workshops in visual arts, creative writing, and creativity development taught by eminent artists and writers. Sessions are held each July and August at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus and as retreat-style workshops at the secluded Cloquet Forestry Center. Test Preparation Classes
For many people considering an advanced degree, the biggest obstacle to getting started is the entrance exam.  Whether plans include graduate school, law school, or business school, entrance exam scores are an important part of the admission process.  The College of Continuing Education's Grad School Test Prep program offers high quality courses to prepare individuals for the GRE, GMAT, or LSAT exams.
