11/1/2006 RAAFUM Homecoming Event, featuring Dr. Leo Lewis Wednesday, November 01, 2006 Much has been written recently about graduation rates of Univesity of Minnesota athletes. In December, 2005 Dr. Leo Lewis, the former Minnesota Viking, was hired as the associate athletics director for student-athlete development. Lewis’ primary responsibilities will be planning and administering the department’s community outreach programs, student-athlete development and diversity education. He serves as the primary administrator and liaison to the Gopher Student-Athlete Advisory Council, Champs/Life Skills Program and selected support units within the athletics department. Learn what the U of M is doing to improve graduation rates of its athletes.The dinner has been generously donated by OUTBACK Steakhouse®. All proceeds from the event benefit RAAFUM scholarships.
