| Located around the world, alumni chapters are essential for connecting University of Minnesota alumni to each other and the University. This award recognizes the outstanding achievements of a chapter in support of the Alumni Association and the University.
Award Qualifications
Any University of Minnesota Alumni Chapter is eligible to be nominated for the Outstanding Alumni Chapter of the Year Award. An alumni chapter cannot receive both a Program Extraordinaire Award and the Outstanding Chapter Award in the same year, nor be selected for this award in two consecutive years.
Award Criteria
The Outstanding Chapter of the Year standard of excellence will be measured by
- Programming: Examples of how the chapter has developed, delivered or contributed to programming that engages alumni.
- Volunteer Involvement and Membership: Examples of how the chapter has been successful in recruiting and retaining engaged volunteers, as well as strategies used to increase alumni membership and program participation.
- Supporting Information: Qualitative and quantitative examples of what makes this chapter the Outstanding Alumni Chapter of the year.
Nomination Requirements
- Nomination Worksheet of no more than two pages total (see form on right side-bar)
- Additional information you would like the awards committee to consider, such as program materials, photographs, etc. no more than three pages in length
