Tennis in the Northland is a comprehensive history featuring stories about Minnesota high school boys singles and doubles champions and prominent coaches, teams, and families. There is also a chapter on girls playing on boys' teams before Title IX and stories about high school players who went on to star at the University of Minnesota. In addition, there is a profile of long-time U of M coach and former president of the Alumni Association, Jerry Noyce. The book, which includes 180 photos, will be of interest to anyone who followed high school tennis in Minnesota from its beginnings in 1929 to 2003.
