A few hardy souls!

The Young and The Brave

Despite the advertisement that summer had arrived on April 27, 2008 there were 25 brave Gophers and aspiring Gophers who came out to the Ballpark in Arlington to cheer on the Twins in their battle against the Texas Rangers. The weather was less than perfect!

As you can tell by the pictures, there were a couple in attendance that I am sure admissions would like to get in touch with. Do you still get extra credit if your parents are University

We would like to give thanks to Jeremy Christopher (jchristopher@texasrangers.com), Account Executive with the Texas Ranger Baseball Club for donating a set of four Ranger tickets. We raffled this set of four tickets off for $40.00. The proceeds went to the North Texas Chapter Endowed Scholarship that the North Texas Chapter set up. has made this year’s outing a VERY enjoyable and memorable one for the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, North Texas Chapter.

Kudos and thanks is particularly due to Sandra Sheehan, North Texas Chapter Vice President for putting this event together. Had it not been for her diligent and enthusiastic work, this year’s outing to the ballpark would not have happened. The North Texas Chapter is STILL looking for a member to serve as Sports Chair.
