Program Goals:

Provide students the opportunity to develop a relationship with a CBS alumnus who can provide information about his or her career, help students make professional contacts, and share experiences of the real world of work and life after college.
- Provide a sounding board and source of encouragement to students.
- Create and foster as many mutually rewarding connections as possible between CBS students and alums.
- Enrich the educational experiences of CBS students.
Students Served: CBS seniors, juniors, and sophomores. Due to high demand for mentors, first-year students are encouraged to apply as a sophomore.
Mentor Profile: Typically alumni of the College of Biological Sciences, however any biological sciences professional or medical or graduate student is welcome to participate.
Application process: The student application deadline is in early October. To learn more about the program and to apply, click here.
Mentors are invited to apply at any time, though matching takes place in late October each year (you will be contacted at that time). Click here.
Time Commitment: At least one substantial contact monthly (meeting, phone conversation, detailed e-mail communication), to be determined by mentor and student, November through April.
