Program Goals:

• Provide students the opportunity to develop a relationship with a CBS alumnus who can provide information about his or her career, help students make professional contacts, and share experiences of the real world of work and life after college.
• Provide a sounding board and source of encouragement to students.
• Create and foster as many mutually rewarding connections as possible between CBS students and alums.
• Enrich the educational experiences of CBS students.

Students Served:
CBS seniors, juniors, and sophomores. Due to high demand for mentors, first-year students are encouraged to apply as a sophomore.

Mentor Profile:
Typically alumni of the College of Biological Sciences, however any biological sciences professional or medical or graduate student is welcome to participate.

Application process:

Mentors are invited to apply at any time, though matching takes place in late October each year (you will be contacted at that time). Click here.

Time Commitment:
At least one substantial contact monthly (meeting, phone conversation, detailed e-mail communication), to be determined by mentor and student, November through April.
