We need photos for our gallery, so pack up Goldy and go!
Goldy traveled with Mary Topp and Paul and Sherry Schaumburg in March 2008 to southern Africa and went on many photo safari drives. On one of the early morning drives in the Okavango Delta of Botswana, Goldy sighted several elephants foraging for food. Photo by Mary Topp, M.A. '80.
Goldy was on Easter Island for two weeks in October 2007. Goldy visited the Ahu Tongariki, a ceremonial platform with 15 moai. However, Goldy spent most of the time at excavation sights in the lava rock strewn fields with Mary Topp. She was a member of a volunteer and research team assisting archaeologist, Christopher Stevenson, with his efforts to document the existence of ancient agricultural garden areas. Photo by Mary Topp, M.A. '80.
