Gopher Stadium Rally
Friends and supporters of the U of M turned out on a cold, blustery day to support bringing Gopher football back to campus. The special guest was Tony Dungy.

Maroon and Gold Fridays
The 2005-06 Maroon and Gold Friday program ended with a party for selected students in the Williams Arena Club Room on April 22. Maroon and Gold Fridays is a UMAA program that inspires school spirit on campus by awarding prizes to people wearing the school colors. For more, click here.

Mentor Appreciation Reception
The UMAA honored the 2005-06 alumni mentors on April 19. The mentor Appreciation Reception attracted some 300 people. Each year more than 1,000 alumni volunteer their time and expereince to help students get a feel for the world of work after college. For more on UMAA-sponsored mentor programs, click here.

Fifteen great professors were honored by the UMAA on April 14.

Alumni Wall of Honor Dedication Dinner
A gala dinner Friday, September 23, honored some of the 1,000-plus recipients of the U's Outstanding Achievement Award. Later, the U community joined them outside on the Gateway Plaza to dedicate the structure that lists their names: the Alumni Wall of Honor.

2004 Governor's Trip to Kosovo
Governor Tim Pawlenty ('83, J.D. '86) invited eight civic leaders and three mayors to accompany him and First Lady Mary Pawlenty (J.D. '86) to Kosovo in July 2004. UMAA first vice president Denny Schulstad ('66), who is a retired Air Force Brigadier General, and UMAA CEO Margaret Sughrue Carlson (Ph.D. '83), were part of the delegation.

Alumni, parents, students, and other members of the U of M community attended the Homecoming Breakfast October 23, 2004 at the Sports Pavilion.

2004 100th Anniversary Gala Finale and Annual Celebration
The University of Minnesota Alumni Association 100th Anniversary Gala Finale and Annual Celebration on May 6, 2004, began under an enormous tent on Northrop Mall and concluded with a moving program featuring internationally acclaimed composer, musician, and U of M alumnus Yanni, rising stars from the School of Music and a look at the UMAA's 2003-2004 achievements.

2004 Senior Send-off
About 600 members of the Class of 2004 attended Senior Send-off April 5, 2004 at the McNamara Alumni Center to celebrate their upcoming graduation.

2004 Pep Rally for Women's Basketball
A large crowd gathered at McNamara Alumni Center Sunday, March 21, 2004 to cheer on the Gopher women's basketball team before they defeated UCLA at Williams Arena in the first round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship.

2004 UMAA 100th Birthday: Evening Program
During the evening program of the UMAA Birthday Party of the Century on January 30, 2004, guests enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and dessert. The U of M Men's Chorus performed, and the pep band, Goldy Gopher and cheer squad helped the crowd learn the new U of M cheer, "Go, Minnesota!"

2004 UMAA Birthday Party of the Century
Students, alumni, and the U of M community celebrated the UMAA's 100th birthday January 30, 2004 at the McNamara Alumni Center. The party featured free lunch, birthday games, prize giveaways, and the debut of the new musical cheer.

2003 Sun Bowl
Before watching Minnesota beat the Oregon Ducks in the 2003 Sun Bowl, Gopher fans in El Paso attended events including a 'Sota Social, Battle of the Bands, and a pre-game pepfest.

2003 Homecoming Breakfast
The UMAA hosted its annual Homecoming Breakfast on November 1, 2003 in the Sports Pavilion. The event also included the Gopher Memorabilia Road Show and Membership Expo.

2003 Spirit Night Scholarship Auction
The UMAA sponsored this silent and live auction on October 31, 2003 to raise money for scholarships.

2002 Music City Bowl
