In mid-July, heat-loving Chris Coughlan-Smith wandered the length of the Scholars Walk to see just how close to completion it is. Here is a gallery of images, moving from east to west.

In mid-July, 2006, the Scholars Walk was nearly complete.
The Scholars Walk technically begins on the Gateway Plaza, a large, park-like square at Oak and Washington just south of the McNamara Alumni Center. Large limestone gates mark the eastern end of the Scholars Walk. A 2005 image from the roof of the McNamara Alumni Center looking west, provided by the U's Facilities Management department.
