An alumna who earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) and a juris doctorate from the Law School, Juanita Luis has given her time and talents to the University for more than ten years. She has served on the CLA Alumni Society board and as a volunteer for its Mentor Program and also on many University-wide committees, including the Advisory Committee on Athletics, the UMAA’s National Board of Directors, and as a member of the All-University Honors Committee.

A nationally recognized attorney with an engaging, collaborative approach, Luis has been generous in her support, counsel, and engagement for the College of Liberal Arts, and unwavering in her legislative advocacy on behalf of the University, sharing a breadth of knowledge about the institution and the role it plays in the larger community. Her contributions draw the best out of others and will benefit the University and its students for many years to come.
