University of Minnesota Alumni Association

2008-2009 University of Minnesota Statewide Speakers Tour
For the third year, the University of Minnesota Alumni Association will bring the University to communities around Minnesota with a Statewide Speakers Tour, kicking off Thursday, August 7.

This year’s tour features a partnership with the U’s athletics department for approximately 30 of the anticipated 40 stops. The theme of those stops is “The Ultimate Homecoming.” They feature information about TCF Bank Stadium, currently under construction on campus. Other tour stops will include a variety of University topics.

Below is a video about the stadium tour created by Justin Ware for University Relations.

The other purpose of the tour series is to help the citizens of Minnesota understand that the University touches and belongs to each and every one of the five million people in the state. We want the people of Minnesota to realize that the University of Minnesota teaches the people who solve the problems and change the world.
