| The University of Minnesota Black Alumni Association (UMBAA) strives to to provide an organized network for Black Alumni and students that facilitate on-going professional growth, relationship building, and community action through educational, social and developmental opportunities.
Our goals are:

UMBAA is committed to:
1) The professional and personal development of Black alumni and students through networking opportunities, mentoring, and community building
2) The recruitment and retention of Black students by creating a stronger sense of collegiate pride among Black students and alumni
3) Serving as a liaison, advocating for, and empowering the Black community of the University of Minnesota
4) Supporting the continued growth and development of the University as an exemplary institution
The UMBAA welcomes alumni, friends, students, parents, faculty, and staff. With every new member, the UMBAA is able to offer more programs and services in support of the University and its students.
