Chicago Art Weekend Art Institute of Chicago & the Palmer House

Location: Hilton, Chicago, IL

Date: Friday, May 9 through Sunday, May 11 or Monday, May 12, 2008

Join us in the Windy City to view the first major exhibition of Edward Hopper (1882-1967) outside of New York in 25 years. Edward Hopper is one of the greatest American artists of the twentieth century. Included in the price of admission for Edward Hopper is a companion exhibition of Winslow Homer (1836-1910) created by the Art Institute from its permanent collection. Winslow Homer is one of the greatest American naturalist painters of the nineteenth century. Together, these two exhibits document the endurance of American realism during the growth of abstract expressionism.

Reservations should be made as soon as possible as space is limited, and no later than March 20, 2008.For more information about this event, please visit our webstire or contact event chair Barbara Grcar via phone at 650-949-0603 or via e-mail at barbgrcar@yahoo.com.
