Gopher Stadium Rally at Capitol this Thursday

Tony Dungy, B.S. '78, former Golden Gopher great and current head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, will be in the Twin Cities on Thursday, May 11, to help the University bring Gopher football back to campus. 

Please join Tony Dungy at the Gopher Stadium Rally at the State Capitol, sponsored by the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, the “M” Club, and the Goal Line Club. The rally will take place on the steps of the State Capitol on Thursday, May 11, beginning at 9:30 a.m., with a short program at 10:00 a.m. 

We hope you’ll attend to show your support for a Gopher stadium, meet Tony Dungy, and enjoy a special Golden Gopher edition Krispy Kreme donut, compliments of the Maple Grove Krispy Kreme. We’ll also have free limited edition “Back to Campus 2009” mini-footballs (while supplies last).

The stadium debate now moves to a conference committee following Tuesday’s successful Senate vote, so the goal line is in sight. We need your presence Thursday at the Capitol to demonstrate strong support for the stadium.  Wear your maroon and gold!  Please help us get our stadium bill into the end zone.
