Founded in 1990, the Alumni Society of Allied Health Professionals has over 800 members. All graduates, students, and friends of  Medical Technology, Mortuary Science, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy programs are eligible for active membership in the society. The society is dedicated to a broad mission:

• Stimulate the continued interest of graduates of the University of Minnesota and the respective teaching programs
• To promote the University of Minnesota's high standards of education, research, and service
• To promote the professional interests of the allied health fields and to cooperate with other professional organizations in promoting a high standard of professional service
• To develop a liaison among prospective students, undergraduates, and alumni
• To develop a wider acquaintance and fellowship among alumni
