College of Education and Human Development Alumni Society
Founded in 1956, the College of Education and Human Development Alumni Society has more than 6,000 members. In June 2006 alumni from General College and the Department of Family Social Science became a part of the society, and in June 2007 the School of Social Work Alumni Society was integrated into the Alumni Society. Graduates, students, and friends of the college are eligible for membership in the society which is governed by a volunteer board of directors. The society's purpose is to create lifelong connections with alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of the college; enhance the student experience; and advocate for the college and University. The society has several signature events and initiatives including:

  • Hosting Saturday Scholars a day of informal learning in the fall on campus for alumni
  • Sponsoring the Scramble for Scholarships Golf Tournament
  • Honoring distinguished alumni and faculty with awards
  • Providing scholarships and special activities for students
  • Offering a mentor program for students and alumni
  • Sponsoring activities for Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD alumni)

With every new member, the College of Education and Human Development Alumni Society is able to offer more programs and services in support of the college and its students.
