The College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni and Friends Society has approximately 700 members. The alumni society was founded in 1957, and merged with the Minnesota Veterinary Medicine Council in 1994 to form the current alumni and friends society. All graduates, friends, and students of the college are eligible for active membership in the society. The society is responsible for a wide variety of successful initiatives, including:
- Co-sponsorship of Veterinary Medicine Newsletter
- Co-sponsorship of student programs and awards
- Support for student travel
- Sponsorship of state and national alumni receptions
With every new member, the College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni and Friends Society is able to offer more programs and services in support of the college and its students.
