School of Nursing Alumni Society

Recognized as the 2006 Society of the Year by the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, the School of Nursing Alumni Society has approximately 1,500 members. All graduates, students, and friends of the school are eligible for active membership. The society is responsible for a wide variety of successful initiatives, including:

Planning special offerings for alumni in anticipation of the School of Nursing’s Centennial in 2009
Honoring 100 Distinguished Nursing Alumni in November of 2009
Creating the Nursing Legacy Fund that supports new traditions for students such as providing School pins.
Presenting the Outstanding Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing Student Awards and the Excellence in Teaching Award to honor distinguished students and faculty
Building student/alumni connections through mentoring opportunities
Producing Nursing E-news and providing alumni information for Minnesota Nursing magazine

With every new member, the School of Nursing Alumni Society is able to offer more programs and services in support of the school, our students, and the nursing profession.
